An iPhone or iPad app is a great way to promote your business and stay top of mind with your customers.
I come at design and development with the mindset that less is more, and most of the time this works very well. You need to make the application as intuitive as possible so that the user doesn't have to think about how to use it, they just know.
If you are looking for more flexibility then you may consider a web app instead of a native iPhone app which would give you greater control over your content and allow you to not only target iPhone, but other mobile devices.

As important as it is to have a great looking website, your website not only has to look great, but it also has to function properly.
I develop websites that use a content management system (CMS) so that you are able to manage your website content and images. This puts you in control and allows your company the greatest flexibility with your online presence.
Whether you need a website, or are looking to redesign your existing site and add a CMS I can develop a solution that will fit your Brand and company needs.

Websites for mobile devices
Currently I am not taking on any new projects.
Smart phones are here to stay. There are two methodologies when it comes to mobile web, though personally I believe that less is more.
The kitchen sink: Mobilize your website and have all your content show up formatted for mobile devices.
KISS: People on the go generally look up basic information like (contact info, general info, store locations, etc.) and don't want to search through text to find it. Keeping your mobile site scaled down allows your mobile site to be more effective.

Chrate in the News
It's about darn timeI finally redesigned my website with a new look and better functionality, not to mention a better CMS. You would think this would be a fairly easy task, though finding time to do so is difficult when it comes to personal endeavors.
Take a look around and if you are so inclined, send me a message with your thoughts.
Here you will find the top 3 posts at any given time of what's going on with Chrate.

Hi, my name is Chris , and I’m a web developer.
I had my first experience with web development in 2004 and ever since I've been hooked. The best part about it is there is always something new around the corner as the environment is always changing. My wife is worried that this addiction will get worse. I honestly can't get enough, though am perfectly fine with it.Chrate was started in 2006 and since then I have helped many businesses with their online presence. I have designed and developed websites as well as iPhone applications for businesses. The best part of my job is creating something that is both pleasing to the eye as well as delivers positive results.
In my free time I enjoy developing (you thought it would be something different?) and learning new web technologies. I have a growing fascination with where the web is headed and social interaction. Some may say that I'm a nerd-bomber, though I'd rather view myself as just a guy with an unhealthy addiction to technology.

If you are interested in website, mobile, or application development.
If you know of someone that would benifit from a redesign.
If you have the best outdoor grill recipe.
